The Anchor Inn on the Bay is a quaint family operated resort, where we strive to provide you with a place to relax and get away from it all.

Our cottages and motel rooms are situated in a beautiful park like setting.   You may choose from 1, 2 or 3 bedroom cottages - complete with linens, full kitchens, cable TV, phones and gas-burning fireplace stoves.  Or, you may wish to dine at any of the many area restaurants - for you we offer six unique motel rooms.  

Regardless of your interests, the Anchor Inn, is a place you can call home during your stay in the Traverse area.  We are conveniently located, in a quiet setting, only two miles north of Traverse City on M-22. (M-22/S. West Bay Shore Drive is the road that runs along the west side of the West Bay.)

Across the street, you can enjoy our private sandy beach on the shore of the West Grand Traverse Bay.  They bay deepens very gradually at our shoreline, and the water is crystal clear.

If you want to barbecue, we provide charcoal grills & picnic tables.  There is a large playground structure for the kids and volleyball & horseshoes for the young at heart.  For the fishing & boating enthusiasts, there is a boat launch 1 mile south.
