Welcome to the Anchor Inn!
We are George & Alyssa Brittain, the new owners of the Anchor Inn since 2021. We’ve been busy renovating and making updates since then while hoping to preserve the nostalgic feel. We’re excited to continue improving the inn and your experiences here. We want to celebrate the area with you!
For the past 4 years since moving back to Michigan, we have loved coming up to the Leelanau Peninsula whenever we could find the time. We think this area is the best Michigan has to offer! Natural beauty, amazing local food and wine, great community. But in terms of accommodation, we had trouble finding an affordable place for just two people. We know that where you stay on vacation makes a huge difference to the feel of the trip. It’s one of the first things we think about when planning a trip and so much more than just a place to lay your head.
So that’s what we hope to create here at the Anchor Inn: unique, affordable accommodation. A space that is characterful, thoughtfully designed, and a bit more budget conscious. Our style and amenities reflect our love of travel and we are intentional about designing great experiences. We are excited to provide authentic hospitality in the comfortable atmosphere at the newly renovated Anchor Inn.
